MaineHealth Dermatology is seeking a Board-Certified Dermatopathologist to join their growing practice in Portland, Maine.
The successful candidate will join one other dermatopathologist and grow the service into the best and busiest dermatopathology group in the state, with:
- Highly competitive compensation (MGMA-based) and generous benefits.
- Productivity incentive if desired.
- Relocation allowance and sign-on bonus options exist.

- 0.8 FTE with opportunity for full-time in the near future with anticipated volume growth.
- No call or frozen section expectation.
- Dermatology-trained candidates will have the opportunity to practice clinical dermatology if desired.
- Pathology technical services are provided in-house by NorDx, the largest and most advanced regional laboratory in Maine.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have greater than 5 years of dermatopathology experience, excellent diagnostic skills, and comfort with the full range of dermatopathology diagnostic services and ancillary molecular testing.
- Be comfortable helping provide pathology services for cutaneous oncology tumor board at the state’s largest tertiary care center.
- Be an excellent communicator, able to provide helpful clinical-pathological correlations for a wide range of clinicians and clients.
- Be confident in playing a role in the growth and development of the dermatopathology practice.
- Be comfortable in providing feedback and guidance to lab personnel and leadership.
