MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care is seeking a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join their well-established Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology in Portland, Maine.

This position offers:

  • Outstanding clinical care in the full complement of gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Robust support staff including a nurse practitioner, registered dietician, a social worker, and four gastroenterology nurses, all of whom work closely with our physicians.
  • Other affiliated programs in our system including the pediatric Weight and Wellness clinic, Muscular Dystrophy program, the Gender Clinic, and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
  • Participation in the Tufts University School of Medicine and the Pediatric Residency program both in the clinical and research arenas.
  • Academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
  • Membership in the medical staff of The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, a 116-bed tertiary care pediatric hospital within MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, and Maine’s only dedicated children's hospital, providing comprehensive services including a PICU, NICU, dedicated pediatric section in the ED, and a 35-bed Inpatient Unit.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Appropriate for recent fellowship graduates looking for ongoing mentorship as they develop their careers as well as more experienced physicians seeking a blend of clinical, academic and administrative roles.
