Overview:
Lincoln Hospital, part of MaineHealth, is seeking aPer Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP)orPhysician Assistant (PA)to provide high-quality urgent care at our state-of-the-art Watson Health Center Walk-In Clinic. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where APPs care for patients of all ages with acute minor medical issues and injuries. You will work as part of a patient-centered team alongside ourprimary careandemergency medicineteams to deliver affordable, efficient care for life’s “minor emergencies.”

Responsibilities:

• Provide urgent care services for walk-in patients of all ages with acute, non-life-threatening conditions.
• Collaborate with primary care and emergency medicine teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
• Utilize onsite lab and radiograph services to support patient diagnoses and treatments.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, radiograph interpretation, and splinting (experience preferred).
• Maintain strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
• Licenses/Certifications:Maine NP or PA License and DEA required. ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Experience:
  • 2+ years in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
  • Skills in suturing, wound care, radiograph interpretation, and splinting are highly valued.
• Technical Skills:Proficient in EMR systems, word processing, and email.
